Why we DON'T do 'Day-of Wedding Coordination'
Hang on - don't go running in the opposite direction because you were referred to us for Day of Coordination (DOC, for short) by someone who has used our DOC services in the past, or because you Googled 'Day-Of Wedding Coordination' and saw that we have 45 - 5 star reviews (don't mean to brag....)
Here's the deal. We USED to do Day-of Coordination, and we STILL DO.... but we've changed the name of the package. Just the NAME. Not the actual services. Our clients are getting the exact same package, but we felt like we needed to rename it, and here's why:
Day-of Coordination is B.S. (Sorry to be frank, but it is). The use of the word 'day' implies that we only work for you for a day, and that's just not the truth. We've renamed our package 'Month-of Wedding Management', because, in truth, we actually work for you for FAR longer than a day (and actually even longer than a month, but 'Six-Week-and-maybe-more-than-that-depending-on-how-much-support-you-need Coordination' just didn't have the same ring to it....
When we do a Month-of Management Package, our goal is to support you through the process of planning your wedding, not just the day of the wedding.
We know that planning a wedding is hard work, and that you've never done it before, so our supports begin LONG before the wedding day. They include (but are not limited to!):
monthly emails with curated lists of tasks, meant to break things into manageable chunks and ensure that you don't miss an element of the planning
use of our templates, guidelines, cheatsheets and resources to help you start off (and stay on) the right foot
access to a HUGE library of video tutorials that give you tips and tricks for every part of your wedding day
a really, really, really detailed itinerary meeting about six weeks prior to your wedding day (are you beginning to see why the term 'day-of' does NOT apply here?)
a really, really, really detailed itinerary document, complete with to-do lists, packing lists, and every minute of the day accounted for
confirmation with all your vendors prior to the wedding to resolve any potential miscommunications
rehearsal management
wedding day management
If you've made it this far, hopefully you're seeing why:
A- this package is clearly the best investment you could possibly make in your sanity (apart from hiring us for Full Wedding Planning, of course!)
B- the term 'Day-of' coordination (when it's done the way we do it.... we certainly can't speak for all planners out there!) is baloney.
And the best part? 'Month-of Management' abbreviates to M.O.M. Just call us your 'wedding mom'....
